Implementation of the new Farm Bill factors into this year’s baseline outlook from the University of Missouri’s Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute. Director Pat Westhoff says with new signup periods approaching, FAPRI predicts a noticeable change in what farmers select this time around.
FAPRI’s release of the outlook Monday is a prelude to the annual Abner Womack Ag Outlook Conference, set for Wednesday at the Bradford Research Center east of Columbia. Westhoff says additional findings will be presented and discussed.
The conference is free to attend, but advanced registration is required. Find the registration form and this year’s Baseline Outlook on FAPRI’s website.
