EYES NOT JUST ON SOIL MOISTURE BUT TEMPERATURE

There should be ample moisture in the ground for farmers when planting begins this spring.  However, Missouri state climatologist Pat Guinan reminds farmers that with the colder, damper winter, it might take longer for the soil to reach the right temperature for germination.

He also reminds farmers that they can check the Missouri MesoNet for current soil moisture and temperature at weather stations close to them.
