The National Corn Growers Association and BASF treated winners of this year’s William Berg Excellence In Agriculture scholarships to a trip to Florida for Commodity Classic. That included Amber Oerly of Boonville, who said she enjoyed the opportunity to meet with commodity leaders.
Oerly currently attends Northeastern Oklahoma A & M in Miami, where she is majoring in agribusiness and taking part in their honors program.
Amber Oerly of Boonville says she plans to continue her education at either Kansas State or Oklahoma State, with the goal of pursuing a law degree and becoming a lobbyist for an ag organization. NCGA and BASF awarded the one-thousand dollar scholarships to Oerly and four other college students.
