An El Dorado Springs resident is one of eight honorees for this year’s Missouri Agriculture Awards.  Craig Johnson will receive the International Exporter award at Thursday’s awards luncheon during the 48th Missouri Governor’s Conference on Agriculture in Osage Beach.

The Missouri Agriculture Education Leader award will go to Centralia FFA adviser Scott Stone.  Missouri Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts president Ryan Britt of Randolph County will receive this year’s Missouri Agriculture Environmental Steward.  Bill Kessler of Mexico was named the Agriculture Volunteer of the year.  Missouri Soybeans Communications Director Christine Tew is this year’s Ag Communicator of the year, while Sally Burd of Wright County is the Food Animal Veterinarian of the year.  Sam and Dorothy Harris of Wentzville will be recognized with the Agriculture Legacy Award, while Matt and Jessica Hardecke of Steelville are this year’s Farm Innovation award winners.
